World Book Day Celebration

World Book Day at Hamstead Hall Academy was a huge success, bringing together students and staff in a celebration of reading and creativity. The library was filled with excitement as a range of fun activities took place, offering something for everyone.

A Fun-Filled Quiz

One of the day’s highlights was the World Book Day quiz. A film featuring staff and students dressed up as famous book characters was shown, and participants had to guess who they were dressed as. 

The Thrilling Treasure Hunt

Another exciting activity was the treasure hunt, where students used a treasure map to navigate the library and find hidden clues. As they discovered each clue, they had to piece together the answers and share them with the librarian to unlock the next stage of the hunt. The treasure hunt encouraged exploration and problem-solving, with students excitedly moving from one part of the library to the next.

Other Fun Activities

The day also featured a Bananagrams tournament, where students competed to create the best word grids, and a lucky dip, offering book-related prizes. Students could also showcase their artistic talents by entering a competition to design a book token.
