At Hamstead Hall Academy, we recognise the vital role that parents and carers play in supporting their children's education. We are committed to fostering a strong partnership with you to ensure that your child's learning experience is enriched and their academic potential is maximised.

In line with our efforts to enhance communication and facilitate a transparent approach to homework assignments, we are pleased to introduce you to Google Classroom. This online platform will provide you with a collaborative login account, enabling both you and your child to access important information conveniently.

By logging in to Google Classroom, you will have visibility of all the classes your child is enrolled in, as well as the specific tasks and homework assignments that have been set. Furthermore, you can easily navigate to the 'to do' list, which outlines the homework tasks along with their respective deadlines.

To facilitate seamless access to Google Classroom, your child will be given a paper copy of this letter to personally hand deliver to yourself and for them to be able to access Google Classroom immediately on their return. It is important to note that neither you nor your child will have the ability to alter the login credentials. This precaution ensures uninterrupted access to the platform for monitoring homework progress and for your child to retrieve assignments promptly.

Step 1. Click here to go to the sign in screen.

Step 2. Sign in using your child’s school email.

Your child's email will be made up of:

• The last 2 digits of the year they were in year 7. 
• Their second name
• Their first initial
• @hamsteadhall.academy

So the email of John Doe who joined year 7 in 2024 will read as 

24doej@hamsteadhall.com

Your child's password will be provided on the letter previously mentioned. If you never received or lost the letter please email Postbox@hamsteadhall.com to request a password reset.

Please save the password on your device. 

Step 3. Once you have signed in you will see a page similar to this which will show all your child’s classes.
If you click on a class you will see any resources teachers have provided your child and any homework set. All homework will be evident as staff will have started the task with the letters HW.

You will also have the option to go to a “To do list” which will show you all the homework your child has been set and the deadline.
