Bookbuzz gives every year 7 pupil a free book!
Bookbuzz is a scheme run by the reading charity BookTrust and paid for by Hamstead Hall Academy. It lets every year 7 pupil choose a free book from a list of seventeen chosen by reading experts. The book is then theirs to keep forever!
If they decide that they want to read all the books on the list then they can do that too because all of the books on the list are available to borrow in the Hamstead Hall Academy Library.
Areeb from year 7 says:
I got the book Little Badman. It was funny how he joked about all the trouble he gets in. I liked the bit where his aunts all show up to his school and show everyone his baby photos!
Another of our year 7 pupils who would like to stay anonymous says:
I got the book Real Life Mysteries. One of the stories was about a 'cursed' car which seemed to take control of itself. All the stories were really interesting. I read it twice!
